Legionella monitoring

Legionella grows rapidly in certain circumstances. Optimal growth takes place in still water with a temperature between 25 and 55 Celsius and the presence of biofilm or another organic material. These circumstances appear regularly in warm water systems, like drinking water supply, swimming pools, fountains, etc.

Contamination takes place by breathing in the bacterias and so it is essential that the water temperature in showers and drinking fountains is always lower than 20˚ or higher than 60˚.

To monitor the temperature of water pipes realtime, I.C.Y. has developed the ICY4012TL Temperature Logger. Temperature sensors on the water pipes measure the temperature with a certain interval. The logger then transmits the measurements wirelessly to your computer. The software gives a warning as soon as the temperature reaches a critical level.

Especially in situations where measuring temperatures on different water pipes is a big job, the Temperature Logger is the ultimate sollution. A large amount of loggers in different locations can be read remotely from one central location.
