ICY Marina Management
With ICY Marina Management it is possible to remotely control the electric
connections on your berths.
For a low investment you get a grip on the electricity consumption of your guests and you can read the consumption.
Using easy-to-use software, you can wirelessly limit the power connections of your berths to a certain amperage, read energy consumption and switch off the power from the harbor office of your marina, or another location with internet. ICY Marina Management can even be linked to your port reservation system.
With ICY Marina Management, the amperage can be electronically limited lowerthan the value of the circuit breaker (usually 10A or even 16A), for example at 6A. For a guest, this usually suffices. For consumers with, for example, air conditioning and electric heaters this does not suffice and they will request a higher amperage.
Through ICY Marina Management you can now electronically issue a higher amperage per user of, for example, 8A-10A or even 16A and you can charge a higher fee for this. In this way, the “reinforcement and peak load of your electrical installation” is also paid for by this guest/user.
A fair solution for both parties.
If guests use more than what they paid for, the power will automatically switch off for a short time as a warning. After a number of warnings, which you can set yourself, the power of that berth switches off completely.
The guest is therefore kindly pointed out to the high consumption, without the actual (earth leakage) circuit breaker in the power box immediately switching off. This also prevents a lot of work for you!
You can control all settings from the harbor office, or “at home”, with the software application ICY Marina Management. You can also remotely switch the power back on.
This system is fairer for everyone, because someone with a small boat and few facilities, for example, does not have to pay as much as someone with a large yacht.
This creates a situation where the user and major consumer pays.
Power consumption goes down (people use less if they realize it costs extra), but revenues go up as guests who do need it now pay for it up front.
If you have permanent berths in your marina, paying on Ampèrage can lead to discussions and hassle. With ICY Marina Management System you can also pay per kWh. The devices that we supply for ICY Marina Management are equipped with a kWh meter as standard. In ICY Marina Management you can directly request per power point what the power consumption has been in a certain period.
Since the ICY Marina Management System communicates and monitors wirelessly, no expensive adjustments are required to the cable infrastructure. The modules are also very compact and can therefore almost always be built into existing cabinets or columns.
Wireless power management from your PC
With our easy-to-use software application it is possible to set and read the electrical connections on your marina remotely.
ICY Marina Management can be linked to your reservation system. All frequently used functions are then available in your reservation system.
So you don’t have to work in multiple screens.
Get more out of your marina’s existing infrastructure
Because ICY Marina Management continuously monitors how much Ampere is available at your marina, you always know how much electricity you can still sell.
For example, were you able to offer only 6A per berth in the past? Now you can give 2 places 4A and another 10A, depending on the need of that moment, by clever distribution.
Set up revenue model of wireless power points
Many marinas now sell a high Amperage as standard that is included in the fixed price. In this way, the harbor master has to walk around as little as possible to switch switches in connection with overload.
With ICY Marina Management, the standard Amperage can be limited lower (for example to 6A). This is enough for a standard guest. This does however not suffice for large consumers with, for example, air conditioning and electric heaters, so they will have to pay for a higher amperage.
If guests use more than what they paid for, the power will automatically switch off for a short time as a warning. After 10 warnings, the power at that power point will completely go out and guests will go to the harbor office to purchase more power. You can control all the settings and switching of power from your office.
- This system is fairer, because someone with a sloop, for example, does not have to pay as much as someone with a large yacht. So a situation arises where the user pays.
- Power consumption goes down (people use less when they realize it costs extra), but revenue goes up because people who do need it pay for it.
Payment per kWh through energy meter reading per berth
If you have guests with permanent berths at your marina, paying on Ampèrage can lead to discussions. With ICY Marina Management you can charge per kWh. In ICY Campsite Management you can directly request per power point what the power consumption has been in a certain period.
Options for wireless control of CEE sockets
We offer a choice of three different Campère appliances. All three have the same functions and contain everything you need to wirelessly connect your guest’s power connection to ICY Marina Management. In addition, all three devices are equipped with a kWh meter and Ampere limiter.
Campère Wall Socket
Campère Module
Campère Plug
ICY Marina Management works completely wirelessly and can therefore be expanded very easily with, for example, power failure, central heating failure and frost alarms for the sanitary buildings and the automatic draining of water pipes in the event of frost danger. Also, for example, smoke alarms and other signaling and control tasks can easily be implemented wirelessly. The communication goes via a special frequency, so that no interference occurs with other networks.
Features
Energy meter reading per berth
This function allows the settlement of a usage period; possibly linked to the booking or accounting package.
This is suitable for both long stays (regular guests) and short stays.
Prevent abuse of power points
To prevent improper use of power, you can switch off the power on a berth when there are no guests. This is fully automatic by means of the link with your reservation system.
Fair fee according to consumption
You can let your guests choose how much electricity they want to have available. For example: 6A, 12A or 16A.
You can then directly wirelessly switch on the power point of the berth and set it to that amount of power. If a guest uses too much power, he is automatically warned.
